Allow Me to Introduce Myself

I'm happy to meet you. My name is Chris Powers and I'm a man of many interests. I'm a passionate entrepreneur, web designer, and cat parent of 3. I've been designing websites for over 10 years and am the owner of Graphic Gato (https://graphicgato.com), a design agency specializing in creating custom website designs that make an impact.

My goal is to provide clients with affordable yet stunning websites that get noticed! In addition to my work at Graphic Gato, I'm also the owner of Stacks Basecamp (https://stacksbasecamp.com). Here I focus on helping developers create robust websites with ease using pre-built project files using the Stacks plugin and Foundation 6. I am committed to providing efficient solutions for all levels of designers - from beginners to experts!

I also run Stacks Guru (https://stacksguru.com), which is a great website for finding answers to many of the questions we all ask on a daily basis. I spent a lot of time and effort to get this site working properly and I'm extremely proud of it. The killer feature of Stacks Guru is the ability to search the transcripts of the videos developers have posted. We all remember hearing something in one of Joe's demos or YouTube Lives, but we just can't remember exactly which one and at which point it was said. Well, now you can search the spoken word and find what you're looking for!

I've been a part of the Weaver's Space community for several years now and feel as though it's my virtual home away from home. I love the people, the ideas, the disagreements, the jokes (especially the ones at my expense), and above all, the amount of help and support we all give to one another.

This blog is going to be my way of offering ideas and help to those in the community who are interested in my particular take on how to run a business or approach new projects. I'll offer insight on apps and software I use as well as physical products I have that help get me through my days.
